Welcome! Thank you for stopping by.

At The Sorting School, we use The ACT Matrix to sort out humans being human, promote psychological flexibility for psychological safety, and help individuals and organizations find behaviors that work (also known as verbal aikido).

Busy and Unproductive?

Jul 10, 2022

Hey there! I'm Tina.

I'm obsessed with Psychological Flexibility and I promote it every day, in many places. Together, we'll build confidence through the chaos of life with creative problem solving and make peace with the post it notes to be productive while staying present.

I'm an educator and lifelong learner with a background in human behavior, instructional design, developmental disabilities, and crisis management.

My first teaching gig was at a tutoring center, before I was even old enough to drive (I walked, in my khakis and polo that was embroidered with, "SCORE!"). I had always dreamed of being a teacher and avidly pursued the field through my bachelor's degree, master's degree, and 54 credits of a PhD (I'm one of those ABD-ers, but I don't think I'm supposed to use that term).

In my early career I worked as an applied behavior analyst in schools and home settings, designing and delivering instruction to increase language and independence for individuals with developmental disabilities.

I've since pivoted to being a full time Psychological Flexibility Trainer and Coach with a couple podcasts, a few books, and a community of like minded folks that I'm grateful to hang out with.

I also have 2 children and a husband who are my Psychological Flexibility guinea pigs (or maybe I'm theirs??). They keep my creativity flowing and test my confidence each day. Maybe you have some important people who do the same for you? I hope to hear about them one day.

Cheers to Psychological Flexibility (and all the stuff that comes with it).
